The project was to adapt the alcoves either side of an old fireplace into a useable, curated space that depicts the client and their lifestyle.
Tom designed an oak veneered plywood storage system with areas for concealing and revealing - as this is just life. Working with object and light Christina was able to play with this idea of conceal and reveal to document the compartmentation of the furniture. Through placement we were able to play into the intimacy of the pockets of space provided and reveal how each space can be personalised for each individual.

Once on location I thought it was important to bring in the personality of the client as this is a bespoke piece of furniture, it is an agreement between the space, the client and the craftsman. Although Christina had specifically chosen items to dress the space she worked with these as well as the implementation of the objects already inhabiting the space. From doing this the images both display the craftsmanship in its best light whilst also making it personal.
